I’m a level 1 CrossFit trainer at IRONWOOD CrossFit. Being involved in sports and athletics throughout my life, I’ve trained in various methods of fitness. I always thought I was fit. Then I started doing CrossFit in 2009 and immediately my fitness level greatly improved. Through CrossFit, I’ve set personal records in distance running and have hiked more miles in beautiful places than I ever thought possible. I have competed at all levels of triathlons including multiple Ironman races, marathons, and ultra marathons. I have regularly done rim to rim to rim hikes of the Grand Canyon. I owe my success in these endeavors to CrossFit. I enjoy CrossFit because it is physically hard, it strengthens your mind and body, and builds lasting relationships with the people around you. As a trainer at IRONWOOD CrossFit, I hope to share my experience and enthusiasm for fitness with others. I want athletes to know they are able to push themselves beyond any preconceived limit. In my off time I enjoy gardening, bike rides with my family, and romantic dinners by the light of a campfire.
